THAT COLOR - BLUE

I woke up this morning thinking of what to tell my beautiful audience today being the first day in the month of July 2013, aha...... something came to my mind, why don't we talk about the color blue and why it is one of the most important and significant colors all over the world.

BLUE- THE SAFE COLOR
Blue is a safe color, as it is always in fashion. For some reason blue always seems to stay in fashion in one form or other. Perhaps that is because it is so versatile

Blue is the most calming color around. The sky, water, blue denims, and even the trial of a soft blue scarf, soothe the mind. Blue stands for tranquility and stimulate calming chemicals in the body. It is also known as the color of intuition and 6th sense. It is believed blue is the color of heaven. Blue is the least-hated color across cultures. It s the favorite color of more than 50% of the total world population, and is officially chosen the world’s safest color. A shade of royal blue defines royalty, superiority, and richness. Dark blue portrays knowledge, intelligence, expertise, logic, and dependability. Aquamarine blue defines great ideas.

Blue and white, made popular with the influx of blue and white china, is as popular today as it was then.

Blue and yellow always creates a sunny beach or holiday home feeling, I have seen this lately in some toile fabrics and printed wallpapers and it really does make you step back and take notice. Blue and yellow, especially when it is a buttery yellow and a brilliant blue make a striking statement.

Bright blue and strong orange or coffee work well in children's rooms, they are fun, and coordinate with lots of toys and can be used for girls and boys.
The Power of Blue
Blue creates a feeling of trust and loyalty, and hence, is used in most corporate logos across the world. It is also an appetite suppressant. Some people, however, believe blue can be depressive. Hence, the saying, ‘feeling blue’. It is the best color to wear for job interviews. It enhances productivity. Lighter shades of blue have more calming effects and freedom. Darker shades talk more about authority, professionalism, integrity, and sincerity. Blue color represents truth, and is the color of communication. Psychologically, this color portrays qualities of being neat, less fussy and disliking confrontation and change.
